Brief Answer:

Yes, having doubts and questions about God and your beliefs is completely normal, healthy, and should be expected.

John the Baptist provided an interesting example as he had amazing experiences with God, yet still had a time of doubt when awaiting his eventual execution. John sent his followers to Jesus to ask if he really had the authority of God. What was Jesus’ response?

Not a single disappointed word about John. On the contrary, Jesus said there is no one born of woman greater than this guy (Matthew 11:1-11), then told those whom John sent to come and see and ask others about the confirmation miracles I am doing, and report this back to John.

Doubts only become problematic if you try to suppress them, especially when they are significant, or if you cling to them despite having reasonable answers. It’s important to engage with your doubts honestly and seek clarity, as this can lead to a deeper understanding, reliability, and confidence in your faith.
